Abstract
The author spent three months in Israel, working on documenting the objects of the monument values. From the city Safed in the north, which winter brings snow on the peaks of the mountains of Meron and Ka'anan, to the deserts of the Negev, Be'er Sheva or Dimona in the south, many things happen in space; many cities live their different history and different beauty. Safed is a workshop of architects, sculptors, and painters, who come to help valuable objects or ruins extend their life and make it as dignified as possible. Safed stone architecture, completely unique, built just to the extent of a certain slope, contains elements that, conditionally, do not belong to it, are not indigenous. Safed's history abounds with dramatic and fierce turnarounds, struggles, seas, famines, and epidemics; whole armies of various evils attacked the stone city, but with a lucky miracle, it always remained and survived, and never quite ceased to exist.
