dc.description.abstract | Rad predstavlja dopunu istoriji Jevreja u Bosni i Hercegovini. | sr |
dc.description.abstract | The work is a supplement the history of Jews in Bosnia and Herzegovina. About this topic, Dr. Moric Levi wrote in his book "Die Sephardim in Bosnien", which is considered to be the only source of Jewish history in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The author of this article challenges three of Moritz Levi's hypothesis. One is that the history of the Jews in Bosnia and Herzegovina begins with the settlement of the Spanish Jews (Sephards) in Sarajevo from Dubrovnik, beginning in 1541. The second is that Jews were migrating to the Balkan Peninsula via Turkish cities. Archaeological research and sources from Dubrovnik and other archives are completely neglected. The author claims that Jews began to settle in the Balkans ever since the Romans displaced them from their ancestral homeland. There is an opinion by several authors that the Jews moved to the Yugoslav regions with the Southern Slovenes from the steppes of the Volga and the Caucasus. The under-researched Dubrovnik Archives offers data that confirms previous assumptions. | en |
