Abstract

Stanovnici malog grada Tučina, pored Rovna, bili su Jevreji, sitne zanatlije. Jula 1941. godine, nacisti su zabranili svim Jevrejima varošice bilo kakvu razmenu dobara sa seljacima iz okoline. Užas gladi ušao je u jevrejske domove, kuda su se, u međuvremenu, bile sklonile stotine izbeglica iz okolnih sela i gradova, pa čak iz Rovna. Nakon zabrane ubrzo je usledila naredba o davanju kontribucija, te su Jevreji ostali bez ikakvih sredstava. Krajem istog leta 3000 Jevreja Tučina sabijeni su u tesni geto - 60 ruševnih kućica. The inhabitants of the small town of Tučin, besides Rovno, were Jews, small craftsmen. In July 1941, the Nazis banned all Jews of the small town from any exchange of goods with the villagers from the surrounding area. The horror of famine entered into Jewish homes, where, in the meantime, hundreds of refugees from surrounding villages and towns, and even from Rovno, hid. The interdiction was soon followed by a command, and the Jews were left with nothing. At the end of the same summer, 3000 Jews of Tučino were sent to a cramped ghetto - 60 nearly demolished homes.
