Abstract

Pisati o dr Fridrihu Popsu znači pisati istoriju razvitka Jevrejske aškenaške opštine u Beogradu i Saveza jevrejskih opština Jugoslavije za poslednjih dvadeset godina, između dva velika rata. Dr Fridrih Pops spadao je u grupu eminentnih predstavnika jevrejske zajednice u Jugoslaviji, koji su vodili i davali pravac njenoj mnogostrukoj delatnosti na kulturnom, verskom, socijalnom i političkom polju. Oni su se sa ljubavlju i razumevanjem odnosili prema složenosti svih problema koji su se postavljali ovoj zajednici, punoj individualnosti i heterogenosti.

To write about Dr. Friedrich Pops means to write the history of the development of the Jewish Ashkenazi community in Belgrade and the Federation of Jewish Communities in Yugoslavia for the last twenty years, between two great wars. Dr. Friedrich Pops was part of a group of eminent representatives of the Jewish community in Yugoslavia, who led and directed her multiple activities in the cultural, religious, social and political fields. They treated with love and understanding the complexity of all the problems posed to this community, full of individuality and heterogeneity.
