"Ne zaboravi" - osamdeset godina kasnije

Abstract

"Tačno osamdeset godina prošlo je od vremena kada je dr Hinko Gotlib, zatočenik logora Kralјevica, napisao svoju jednočinku „Ne zaboravi” ili „Zapamti”, koja se danas po prvi put štampa. Purim, jevrejski praznik sećanja na čudesno spasenje Jevreja u Persiji, padao je te 1943. (5703 po jevrejskom kalendaru) godine na 20/21 mart. Verska je obaveza da se tada čita Svitak o Esteri (Knjiga o Jestiri). Gotlib je, sledeći svoje predratne poetičke impulse, ovaj starozavetni tekst iskoristio samo kao polazni motiv. Priča o Esteri i spasenju je problematizovana, a naglasak je stavlјen na imperativ pamćenja onoga čega su Jevreji tokom Holokausta bili svedoci i žrtve. Prema nekim svedočenjima Gotlibova jednočinka, pisana po motivima Svitka o Esteri, u logoru je i izvedena, dok postoje i svedoci po kojima je italijanska uprava premijeru zabranila. Teško da ćemo ikada sa sigurnošću znati šta se zaista dogodilo. Ipak, tekst je sačuvan u Jevrejskom istorijskom muzeju u Beogradu i u Nacionalnoj bibioteci Izraela, u Eventovom arhivu koji čuva raznovrsnu građu u vezi sa Jevrejima Jugoslavije..."

"Exactly eighty years have passed since Dr. Hinko Gottlieb, a prisoner of the Kraljevica camp, wrote his one-act play "Don't forget" or "Remember", which is being printed today for the first time. Purim, the Jewish holiday commemorating the miraculous salvation of the Jews in Persia, happened in the year 1943 (5703 according to the Jewish calendar) on March 20/21. It is a religious obligation to read the Scroll of Esther (Book of Esther) at that time. Gottlieb, following his pre-war poetic impulses, used this Old Testament text only as a starting point. The story of Esther and salvation is problematized, and emphasis is placed on the imperative of remembering what the Jews witnessed and suffered during the Holocaust. According to some testimonies, Gottlieb's one-act play, based on the motifs of the Scroll of Esther, was performed in the camp, while there are also witnesses that the Italian administration banned the Prime Minister. We will hardly ever know for sure what happened. Nevertheless, the text is preserved in the Jewish Historical Museum in Belgrade and the National Library of Israel, in the Eventov archive, which preserves various materials related to the Jews of Yugoslavia..."
