Iz povijesti Jevreja u Hrvatskoj
From the History of the Jews in Croatia
Apstrakt
It has been two hundred years since the first Jews appeared on the territory of the today's Republic of Croatia. Two hundred years filled with fighting in many parts of the world, and especially in this small area. There were wars and conquests, there were attempts to bring that beautiful country under the control of conquerors, but the Croatian people endured in these struggles and survived all the cataclysms that threatened his survival for many centuries. The Jewish community in Croatian countries, too, went through difficult periods. And during that time Jewish people suffered many persecutions and many humiliations, especially in the terrible years of 1941-1945. The history of the Jews of Croatia is full of suffering and is no different than the history of Jews in other countries.
