Jevrejska Subotica: turistički vodič

Abstract

Ovaj katalog-brošura, opisuje tipične i značajne jevrejske verske i sakralne objekte u Subotici, kao i delatnosti i manifestacije koje je održavala, a i sada održava jevrejska zajednica u gradu. Svi tekstovi su popraćeni karakterističnim i bogatim fotografijama. Reč je o sinagogi, zgradama koje su pripadale jevrejskim ustanovama (kao na primer jevrejska bolnica) ili pojedincima (kao na primer zgrada „Prve subotičke fabrike bombona i čokolade“). Pobrojane su zgrade koje su projektovali priznati i poznati arhitekte Jevreji. Navedene su i biste koje čuvaju uspomenu na značajne jevrejske pisce iz Subotice. Nažalost, pomenuto je i vreme Holokausta i datuma stradanja ovdašnjih Jevreja. Na kraju je u kratkim crtama predstavljen i današnji život i rad Jevrejske opštine Subotica i tradicionalni kulturni jesenji festival jevrejske kulture.

This catalogue/brochure describes typical and significant Jewish religious and sacred buildings in Subotica, as well as the activities and manifestations that were, and still are, held by the Jewish community in the city. All texts are accompanied by characteristic and rich photographs. These are synagogues, buildings that belonged to Jewish institutions (such as the Jewish hospital), or individuals (such as the building of the "First Subotica Candy and Chocolate Factory"). The buildings designed by recognized and well-known Jewish architects are listed. There are also busts that preserve the memory of significant Jewish writers from Subotica. Unfortunately, the time of the Holocaust and the date of the suffering of local Jews were also mentioned. In the end, the current life and work of the Jewish Community of Subotica and the traditional cultural autumn festival of Jewish culture are briefly presented.
