Abstract
Oba tipa memoarske proze imaju genezu, dugu tradiciju i permanentnu aktuelnost…
The monograph "Moral witness: contemporary poetics of memoirs" is primarily motivated by the practice of writing and "reading" of this genre, which, from the mid-twentieth century to the present day, has shown at least two key changes in the immanent poetics of memoir prose that are not covered by dictionary definitions: the first concerns changes in the content itself, because the memoirs of former prisoners of Nazi camps produced prose that, both in terms of cognitive parameters and in the domain of all three types of intentions - the author's, the reader's, the text itself - overcame the existing "frames"; another change can be observed from the appearance of the prose of Christiana F. (Felsherinov), who outlines a new type of memoirist - a former addict and shifts the focus of the narration to an even greater extent from the event to the "experience". Both types of memoir prose have a genesis, a long tradition, and permanent relevance...
