Abstract

"Istraživački rad koji je prethodio kako bi se kompletirao zahtev za podnošenje Agenciji za restituciju - Jedinici za vraćanje imovine žrtvama Holokausta bio je ogroman izazov. Uz dokumenata o oduzimanju, došla sam i do mnogih saznanja o sudbini pojedinaca ili porodice ili nepokretnosti. Banat je imao svoje specifičnosti u vreme Drugog svetskog rata, poseban način oduzimanja nepokretnosti Jevrejima. Upravo iz tih razloga, smatrala sam da bi bilo dobro da se postupci oduzimanja koji su navedeni u knjizi budu zabeležena za buduće generacije" (str. 161: Beleška o autorki).

"The research work that preceded in order to complete the request to be submitted to the Agency for Restitution - the Unit for Restitution of Property to Victims of the Holocaust was a huge challenge. Along with the confiscation documents, I also gained a lot of knowledge about the fate of individuals or families, or real estate. Banat had its specificities at the time of World War II, a special way of confiscating real estate from Jews. Precisely for these reasons, I thought it would be good if the confiscation procedures mentioned in the book were recorded for future generations" (p. 161: Note about the author).
