Abstract

Izložba Beogradski Jevreji - život i Holokaust ima za cilј da predstavi život beogradskih Jevreja i podseti na Holokaust, da pomene do sada nepoznate žrtve, a one čija su imena poznata, upotpuni novim saznanjima. Koncipirana je u četiri tematsko-hronološke celine koje se prepliću: Jevreji u Beogradu, Kovitlac rata, Žrtve i Uspomene. Izbor žrtava sveobuhvatno predstavlјa stradanje beogradske jevrejske zajednice. Uz sabranu građu, one su prestale biti broj, ime i prezime bez sadržaja, postale su ličnosti sa svojim ostvarenim i neostvarenim životnim snom koji je u jednom trenutku prekinut.

The exhibition Belgrade Jews - Life and the Holocaust aims to present the life of Belgrade Jews and remind them of the Holocaust, to mention hitherto unknown victims, and add with new knowledge those whose names are known. It is conceived in four thematic-chronological units that intertwine: Jews in Belgrade, Maelstrom of War, Victims and Memories. The selection of victims comprehensively represents the suffering of the Belgrade Jewish community. With the collected material, they ceased to be a number, name and surname without content, they became personalities with their realized and unrealized life dream that was interrupted.
