Uloga bibliotekara u negovanju sećanja na Holokaust

Abstract

"Iskustvo Holokausta obeležilo je istoriju 20. veka. Ono je otvorilo niz pitanja u svim oblastima humanistike, od istorije, sociologije, psihologije i političkih nauka, do književnosti, umetnosti i filozofije. Uloga bibliotekara je u tom procesu bila i ostala nezaobilazna: kako je dobar deo građe o zločinima počinjenim u Drugom svetskom ratu pohranjen u bibliotečkim fondovima, bibliotekari su posrednici između te građe i zainteresovanih korisnika. Njihova uloga na tome, međutim, ne bi morala da se završi; postoje načini za neposrednije uključivanje bibliotekara u ovaj istraživački i obrazovni proces. Ti načini su, nužno, interdiscplinarni, jer podrazumevaju preklapanje polja interesovanja između predstavnika bibliotečko-nformacione delatnosti i tradicionalnih humanističkih disciplina, pre svega istorije i istorije književnosti, ali donose i metodološku specifikaciju same naše struke, u njenim strogo definisanim okvirima..."

"The experience of the Holocaust marked the history of the 20th century. It opened up questions in all areas of the humanities, from history, sociology, psychology and political science, to literature, art and philosophy. The role of librarians in this process was and remains unavoidable: a good part of the material on the crimes committed in the Second World War is stored in library funds, librarians are intermediaries between that material and interested users, but their role should not be over, there are ways to involve librarians more directly in this research and education. These methods are necessarily interdisciplinary, because they imply overlapping fields of interest between representatives of library and information activities and traditional humanities, primarily history and history of literature, but also bring the methodological specification of our profession, within its strictly defined framework ...
