Menora: radovi radionice "Jevrejska umetnost i tradicija" [2009]

Abstract

"...Radionica "Jevrejska umetnost i tradicija" koja je prvi put održana na Filozofskom fakultetu u Beogradu pod okriljem Odeljenja za istoriju umetnosti, između 27. januara i 10. februara 2008. godine, pokušala je da oživi dijalog između akademskih stručnjaka i jevrejskog nasleđa; da upozna buduće naraštaje naučnika s bogatstvom jevrejske kulture i tradicije prisutne i žive i danas, u našem post-modernom društvu. U toku dve nedelje, studenti okupljeni s raznih smerova, odeljenja i fakulteta - od istorije i istorije umetnosti, do etnologije, arheologije, antropologije, sociologije, teologije i arhitekture - imali su prilike da prate predavanja beogradskih i inostranih predavača, iz Izraela i Mađarske, posvećena istoriji Jevreja na tlu bivše Jugoslavije, jevrejskoj umetnosti i arhitekturi, književnosti i religiji. Program je bio obogaćen i pojedinačnim predavanjima i susretima, izložbom iluminiranih Hagada koju je priredio Jevrejski muzej u Beogradu, ekskurzijom i obilaskom sinagoga i jevrejskog groblja u Novom Sadu i Subotici, koncertom religijske jevrejske i sefardske muzike, upoznavanjem sa službom u sinagogi u toku proslave Šabata, posetom Jevrejskom istorijskom muzeju i obilaskom jevrejskog Dorćola. U narednim mesecima studenti koji su pohađali radionicu su uz konsultacije predavača i pomoć zaposlenih i saradnika Jevrejskog istorijskog muzeja pristupili istraživanju različitih tema vezanih za jevrejsko nasleđe u Beogradu, u Srbiji i u bivšoj Jugoslaviji: između ostalog umetničkom stvaranju jevrejskih slikara, jevrejskim verskim običajima, jevrejskoj ceremonijalnoj umetnosti, arhitekturi sinagoga i jevrejske četvrti, jevrejskih književnih motiva i sefardske jezične i vizuelne kulture. Izbor studentskih radova pripremljenih u okviru radionice "Jevrejska umetnost i tradicija" rezultat je tih istraživanja.

Workshop" Jewish Art and Tradition", which was held for the first time at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Department of Art History, between January 27 and February 10, 2008, tried to revive the dialogue between academic experts and Jewish to acquaint future generations of scholars with the richness of Jewish culture and tradition present and living today, in our post-modern society. During two weeks, students gathered from various fields, departments and faculties - from history and art history to ethnology, archaeology, anthropology, sociology, theology and architecture - had the opportunity to attend lectures by Belgrade and foreign lecturers from Israel and Hungary, dedicated to the history of Jews in the former Yugoslavia, Jewish art and architecture, literature and religion and meetings, an exhibition of illuminated Haggadah organized by the Jewish Museum in Belgrade, an excursion and a tour of the synagogues and Jewish cemetery in Novi Sad and Subotica, a concert of religious Jewish and Sephardic music, introduction to the service in the synagogue during the Sabbath celebration, a visit to the Jewish Historical Museum and a visit to the Jewish Dorcol. In the following months, students attending the workshop, with the help of lecturers and employees of the Jewish History Museum, began researching various topics related to Jewish heritage in Belgrade, Serbia and the former Yugoslavia: Jewish painters, Jewish religious customs, Jewish ceremonial art, synagogue and Jewish quarter architecture, Jewish literary motifs, and Sephardic linguistic and visual culture. The selection of student works prepared within the workshop "Jewish Art and Tradition" is the result of this research.
