U traganju za utočištem (sudbina višegradskih Jevreja u romanu “Na Drini ćuprija”)

Abstract

Govoriti o delu Ive Andrića znači gotovo uvek govoriti i o traganju za identitetom, o nepripadanju, samoći, usamljenosti. Zbog toga u ovom radu, oslanjajući se na opšte teme Andrićevog dela, sagledavamo pojedinačne sudbine čija je specifičnost uslovljena njihovom etničkom pripadnošću. Analitičkim pristupom, prateći sudbinu višegradskih Jevreja pokušaćemo da utvrdimo neke opštosti karakteristične za ovu grupaciju (poimanje sudbine, odnos prema životu, prema drugima, prema samim sebi). Idući tragom jevrejskog arhetipa, koji se manifestuje pre svega kao svest o izdvojenosti, o nepripadanju, jasno uočavamo sistem vrednosti, način života i zakonitosti po kojima funkcioniše ova zajednica.

To speak about the work of Ivo Andrić means almost always to speak about the search for identity, the non-belonging, loneliness, isolation. Therefore, in this paper, relying on the general topics of Andric's work, the fate of those individuals whose fate is determined by the specificity of their ethnicity is observed. By analytical approach, following the fate of the Jews from Višegrad, we shall try to establish some generalities specific for this group (their notion of fate, attitude towards life, towards others and towards ourselves). Following the trace of the Jewish archetype, which manifests itself primarily as an awareness of separateness, of non-belonging, we can clearly notice their value system, a way of living and the laws according to which this community is functioning.
