Konferencija u Varšavi, 19-22. kolovoz, 2011. (23. godišnja Međunarodna konferencija preživjele djece, supružnika i članova obitelji druge i treće generacije)

Abstract

Svjetska organizacija židovske djece koja su preživjela Holokaust (WFJCSH) okuplja više od 50 organizacija širom svijeta. Osnovala su je židovska djeca koja su preživjela Holokaust i nacistička proganjanja u Evropi i danas žive u brojnim državama, najviše u USA i Izraelu. Svaka je organizacija samostalna, a WFJCSH ih zastupa u židovskim i svjetskim organizacijama i zajednicama, jer predstavljaju žive svjedoke stradanja u Holokaustu. WFJCSH se također zalaže za njihova prava, restituciju i zadovoljenje pravde. Na posljednjoj konferenciji u Varšavi Federacija je promijenila ime jer je u svoju aktivnost uključila drugu i treću generaciju - svoju djecu i unuke, kako bi nastavili sa djelovanjem organizacije. Dr Melita Švob je od 19-22. kolovoza 2011. godine učestvovala na konferenciji “Remember the past, be happy today” (Sjećajte se prošlosti, budite sretni danas) i u okviru panela "Anti-Semitism and other issues in Today's Europe" (Antisemitizam i drugi problemi u današnjoj Europi) prikazala ovu prezentaciju.

The World organization of Jewish children Holocaust survivors (WFJCSH) brings together more than 50 organizations around the world. It was founded by Jewish children who survived the Holocaust and Nazi persecution in Europe and today live in many countries, mostly in the USA and Israel. Each organization is independent, and the WFJCSH represents them in Jewish and world organizations and communities, as they represent living witnesses to the suffering of the Holocaust. The WFJCSH also advocates for their rights, restitution and justice. At the last conference in Warsaw, the Federation changed its name because it included the second and third generations in its activities - its children and grandchildren, in order to continue the activities of the organization. Dr Melita Švob from 19-22. August 2011 participated in the conference "Remember the past, be happy today" with this presentation in the panel "Anti-Semitism and other issues in Today's Europe".
