Abstract

Kantor Aron Kišicky u noveli "Jedna noć pod krevetom" opisuje događaj kada se u malom gradiću Jalovki u Poljskoj pojavio novi kantor Ruvke sa svojom pevačkom družinom. Ljudi su bili zadivljen njihovim umećem, a školska omladina je izostajala sa časova Talmuda. Kantor Ruvke je ljubomorno čuvao tajnu "tonarta" (tonalitet) ali je svojim lukavstvom jedan od njegovih pevača uspeo da je otkrije. Ovom pričom Kišicki nam poručuje da se znanje ne sme posedovati i da ga uvek treba deliti sa drugim ljudima.

In the short story "One night under the bed", cantor Aaron Kišicky describes the event when a new cantor, Ruvke, appeared in the small Polish town of Jalovka with his singing troupe. People were amazed by their skills, and the school youth was absent from the Talmud classes. Cantor Ruvke jealously guarded the secret of "tonart" (tonality), but with his wile, one of his singers managed to discover it. With this story, Kišicki tells us that knowledge must not be possessed and that it should always be shared with other people.
