Konferencija 70 godina od holokausta u Subotici (12. april 2014. godine, Subotica)

Abstract

U Velikoj većnici Gradske kuće, u organizaciji Jevrejske opštine Subotica, održana je konferencija - 70 godina od Holokausta u Subotici. Na tom skupu, posvećenom 70. godišnjici stradanja subotičkih Jevreja i Jevreja Potiskog regiona ocenjeno je, između ostalog, da deportacija 4.000 Jevreja u nacističke logore predstavlja jednu od najvećih tragedija Subotice u njenoj istoriji, čije se posledice osećaju i danas. U periodu od 1941. do 1944. godine Subotica je doživela jednu od najvećih tragedija u istoriji. Jevreji u Subotici su imali veoma bitnu ulogu kada je reč o izgledu grada i stvaranju građanske kulture. Nažalost, sve je to 1944. godine nestalo. Subotica čak i dan-danas oseća te posledice, jer, nažalost, veoma malo znamo o svemu šta se desilo za vreme Drugog svetskog rata i kakva je uloga Jevreja u stvaranju ovog grada.

A conference - 70 years since the Holocaust in Subotica - was held in the Great Hall of the City Hall, organized by the Jewish community of Subotica. At that gathering, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the suffering of the Jews of Subotica and the Jews of the Potisje region, it was assessed, among other things, that the deportation of 4,000 Jews to Nazi camps was one of the greatest tragedies in Subotica in its history, whose consequences are still felt today. In the period from 1941 to 1944, Subotica experienced one of the greatest tragedies in history. The Jews in Subotica played a very important role when it comes to the appearance of the city and the creation of civic culture. Unfortunately, all that disappeared in 1944. Subotica even today feels those consequences, because, unfortunately, we know very slightly about everything that happened during the Second World War and what is the role of Jews in the creation of this city.
