To nije bilo sistematsko prikupljanje u cilju formiranja zbirke.
As one of its field of actions of preserving and collecting materials about the history of Jewish people on the grounds of ех Yugoslavia, Jewish historical museum formed a collection of philately. It was not systematical collecting for the purpose of forming a collection. But since the members of the Jewish community were donating to the
museum many interesting exhibits during the years, interesting philatelist collection
connected to Judaica was formed slowly. Part of this collection is from a philatelist
point of view worthless but for the museum and for archivists interesting. This exhibition is an interesting mixture of philatelist and museum conceptions, regarding
the selection of the materials and the presentation. Concessions have been made from both sides. Philatelists agreed to exhibit a lot of documents which were only in a wider sense part of the philatelist material, and the museum agreed; in the way they see it, to exhibit not a lot of that kind of material: e.g. archi...ves connected to Holocaust where postcards and letters from different concentration camps can be found.

Note:
- Deo teksta uporedo na srpskom, hebrejskom i engleskom jeziku (part of the text in Serbian, Hebrew and English).
- Prema tekstu, izložba je održana 2006. godine u Beogradu (according to the text, the exhibition was held in 2006 in Belgrade).
- Оn the backside: Israel postage stamps No 1 printed in 1948 (before the end of the British Mandate), these were the first issue stamps created for the new nation of Israel. Because the Jewish leadership had not yet selected a name for their nation, they read "Doar Ivri" (Hebrew Post) rather than "State of Israel". The stamps depict coins from the wars of the Second Temple and Bar Kochba. These images are particularly appropriate for the time as they symbolized Jewish struggles toward and times of sovereignty.
