Stratište kod Jabuke [DVD]

Abstract

Film počinje potresnim opisom o stanju zapuštenosti spomenika „Stratište kod Jabuke“, koje se nalazio 6 kilometara od Pančeva. To je mesto stradanja između 10.000 i 12.000 ljudi, pretežno Jevreja, ali i Roma, te srpskih civila, uglavnom antifašista i protivnika okupacije. Ali „zapuštenost“ se ogleda i u potpunom neznanju mladih ljudi današnjice koji o tom mestu masovnog stradanja svojih sugrađana Jevreja, Roma, pa i Srbi, ne znaju uglavnom ništa. Film nastavlja intervjuom sa kustosom Narodnog Muzeja u Pančevu, koji iznosi podatke o opšte istorijskim okolnostima u Evropi po dolasku Hitlera na vlast, ali i događajima u našoj zemlji pred i početkom samoga rata. Govori se, nažalost, i o angažovanju lokalnog nemačkog stanovništva Pančeva i okoline u učešću u okupacionoj vlasti u gradu. Film pokazuje mesta dovođenja zarobljenih Jevreja u zgradu Magistrata, u Svilaru i tzv. Malu kasarnu. Sistematsko ubijanje na stratištu kod mesta Jabuka počinje 4. i 5. novembra 1941. godine. Tokom razgovora sa direktorom Istorijskog arhiva u Pančevu Milanom Jakšićem prezentuju se brojni podaci o zločinima, a posebno je potresno i stravično svedočenje iz dnevnika nemačkog oficira koji je učetvovao u organizovanju streljanja prvih 2.200 Jevreja na ovom stratištu. U iscrpnom interviju sa g. Jakšićem, date su brojne informacije i podaci o stradanju u Pančevu. Film završava sa pitanjem i odgovorom šta Jevrejska opština Pančevo čini danas na očuvanju uspomene na stratište kod Jabuke, kao i informacijama o mestu koje je poznato kao „Malo stratište“, gde su pred samo oslobođenje Pančeva 4. oktobra 1944. godine streljani Jevreji koji su dovedeni iz Mađarske.

The film begins with a shocking description of the state of disrepair of the monument "Stratište kod Jabuke", which was located 6 kilometres from Pančevo. It is a place of suffering between 10,000 and 12,000 people, mostly Jews, but also Roma, and Serbian civilians, mostly anti-fascists and opponents of the occupation. But the "disrepair" is reflected in the complete ignorance of today's young people who know mostly nothing about that place of mass suffering of their fellow citizens Jews, Roma, and even Serbs. The film continues with an interview with the curator of the National Museum in Pančevo, who presents data on the general historical circumstances in Europe after Hitler came to power, but also the events in our country before and at the beginning of the war. Unfortunately, there is also talk of engaging the local German population of Pančevo and the surrounding area in participating in the occupying authority in the city. The film shows the places where the captured Jews were brought to the Magistrate's building, in Svilara and the so-called Mala kasarna. Systematically killings at the execution place near Jabuka began on November 4 and 5, 1941. During the conversation with the director of the Historical Archive in Pančevo, Milan Jakšić, numerous data on crimes are presented, and the testimony from the diary of a German officer who took part in organizing the execution of the first 2,200 Jews at this execution site is especially shocking and horrifying. In an exhaustive interview with Mr Jaksic, numerous information and data on the suffering in Pančevo were given. The film ends with a question and answers about what the Jewish community of Pancevo is doing today to preserve the memory of the execution place near Jabuka, as well as information about the place known as „Malo stratište“, where Jews from Hungary brought before the liberation of Pančevo in October 4, 1944, were shot.
