Dr Lavoslav Kadelburg: spomenica: 1910-1994

Abstract

Dr Lavoslav Kadelburg je bio uključen u jevrejski javni rad od najranije mladosti do kraja života. Kao predsednik Saveza Jevrejskih opština Jugoslavije od 1965. do 1991. i počasni predsednik od 1991. do 1994. godine bio je najduže na toj funkciji od postojanja Saveza, i to u vreme kada je jevrejska zajednica bila suočena sa najvećim izazovima: problemima odnosa i veza sa Izraelom, rastućim antisemitizmom... Stoga ova Spomenica, posvećena 100-godišnjici njegovog rođenja, ne samo da daje sliku o jednom značajnom, velikom čoveku, već je istovremeno i deo istorije jugoslovenske jevrejske zajednice kojoj je pripadao.

Dr. Lavoslav Kadelburg was involved in Jewish public work from an early age until the end of his life. As president of the Association of Jewish Communities of Yugoslavia from 1965 to 1991 and honorary president from 1991 to 1994, he was the longest-serving since the existence of the Association, at a time when the Jewish community was facing the greatest challenges: relationship and connection issues with Israel, growing anti-Semitism ... Therefore, this book, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of his birth, not only gives a picture of one significant, great man but is also part of the history of the Yugoslav Jewish community to which he belonged.
