Problem figuralne tematike u jevrejskoj umetnosti
The Problem of Figurative Theme in Jewish Art
Apstrakt
When studying the figurative subject in Jewish art, as one of its most sensitive and complex problems, one can not miss the fact that for decades there has been a struggle of opinion among theorists and art historians in the world about whether there is Jewish art at all. The misconception that persists to this day, that the ancient Jews did not have their art due to the veto of the representation of living beings, that they did not even have an affinity for fine arts, is still difficult and slow to recede in the face of the increasing number of archeological discoveries.
