Presenting the library and archives collections of the Jewish community of the ex-Yugoslav countries [conference contributions]

Abstract

As part of the four-day global online conference of the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) entitled "A World of Possibilities", a panel session "Presenting the library and archives collections of the Jewish community of the ex-Yugoslav countries" was held on June 22, 2023, where Jewish collections that existed or are found in libraries and archives in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Participants in the panel were: Biljana Albahari (Significant Jewish Collections in Ex-Yugoslav Countries), Tamara Butigan-Vučaj (Digital Collection 'Jewish Periodicals' in the National Library of Serbia), Olga Ungar (For Future Studies: Jewish Life in Novi Sad and the South Bačka Region), Ana Lebl and Margita Mirčeta Zakarija (Jewish Community of Split - History and Heritage Collections) and Marjetka Bedrač (The Creation of Isserlein's Library). The panel moderator was Dr. Ana Ćirić Pavlović, who is currently in postdoctoral studies at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest as a Claims Conference Saul Kagan Doctoral Fellow.

U okviru četverodnevne globalne onlajn konferencije Udruženja jevrejskih biblioteka (Association of Jewish Libraries - AJL) pod nazivom "Svet mogućnosti" (A World of Possibilities), 22. juna 2023. godine održana je panel sesija "Predstavljanje biblioteka i arhivskih zbirki Jevrejske zajednice zemalja bivše Jugoslavije" na kojoj su predstavljene jevrejske kolekcije koje su postojale ili se nalaze u bibliotekama i arhivima na prostoru nekadašnje Jugoslavije. U panelu su učestvovale: Biljana Albahari (Significant Jewish Collections in Ex-Yugoslav Countries), Tamara Butigan-Vučaj (Digital Collection ‘Jewish Periodicals’ in the National Library of Serbia), Olga Ungar (For Future Studies: Jewish Life in Novi Sad and the South Bačka Region), Ana Lebl i Margita Mirčeta Zakarija (Jewish Community of Split - History and Heritage Collections) i Marjetka Bedrač (The Creation of Isserlein’s Library). Moderatorka panela bila je dr Ana Ćirić Pavlović koja se trenutno nalazi na postdoktorskim studijama na Eötvös Loránd University u Budimpešti kao stipendistkinja Claims Conference Saul Kagan Doctoral Fellow.
